• The best time to book tee times is weekday, many courses have special discount on Monday and on Wednesday is also special day for women, tee time in late afternoon and under light is also cheaper, it is much more expensive on weekend and holiday
• All golf clubs will have rental clubs and shoes.  Almost courses offer sets of brand names and good quality, price is also a bit higher.  As most courses have a driving range, then it is advisable to hot some balls before you tee off.
• Strict dress codes are applied. This means no tee shirts and proper tailored shorts are allowed; Golfers must have their own set of clubs – no sharing – and soft spike golf shoes. In case you don’t prepare then you can buy at the golf shops, as they will have a great supply of logoed shirts for sale. They will also stock golf balls, tees, gloves and golf balls.
• It’s good to wander about without the restrained or rushed feeling often brought when joining in a tour. Only, the problem is that you’ll have to find a mean of transportation to get to farther destinations, where the option of walking is out of the table.
• Three most common, affordable means of transportation that golfers usually choose to travel around in Vietnam are private cars, taxis and buses.
• Private car is obviously the most comfortable, versatile option. However, for moving between short distances, a taxi (Grab car for example) will be more economical. Another choice is using a bus which is environmentally friendly, effective at avoiding the hot weather and the chaotic traffic in Vietnam, and very budget as well.
• What’s more, it’s safer for you and your golf gears if you go to the course by bus, as you won’t be distracted with one hand keeps hold of the bag, or that you’ll be in constant worry that it may fall down on the crowded street. On the bus, however, your bag is sat beside you (or within your sight always, at least). And you can take time to leisurely admire the landscape outside of the windows.
• What about multi-day tours from one province to another? Well, aside from (domestic or internationally) low-cost airlines, golfers could opt for boating to travel (with a pack of heavy golf gears or cumbersome luggage).

• King’s Island Golf Club

King's Island has two 18 hole golf courses. The Lakeside Course opened in 1993 and the Mountain view Course opened in Oct – 2004. King's Island is the first 36 hole facility in Northern Viet Nam. The facilities include a fully air-conditioned clubhouse & restaurant, driving range with putting greens & practice bunker, pro shop, swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and boat dock.
Lakeside was designed by American Golf Course Architect, Robert McFarland, who has been involved in designing championship golf courses around the world including Mission Hills California. He specializes in challenging designs using local terrain and natural hazards. 

• Heron Lakes Golf Club

Heron Lake Golf Course Resort (Dam Vac golf & country club) located Vinh Phuc, near the International Airport, about 45 km from Hanoi (60 minutes from the centre of Hanoi). Heron Lake Golf Course Resort is a masterpiece from Pacific Coast Design Pty Ltd (Australia) with five-star standards and design by Phil. Ryal with a concept on creating a course that could be a test for the top players in the world, but also very playable and enjoyable for the amateur golfer. Heron Lake Golf Course Resort stretches over 90 ha with a level of quality to satisfy all golfers.

• Chi Linh Star Golf Club

The Chi Linh Star Golf Course will feature a 36 hole golfing challenge, with every hole constructed and designed to international standards. "The Best Place To Play" begins with nine holes, opened in November 2003, and when completed will leave you with an unforgettable golfing experience. The site on which the course is being constructed lies within a beautiful valley, surrounded by rolling forest hills, and nestles beside a large lake complete with rolling creeks and natural water flowing from the surrounding area. 

• Phoenix Golf Resort

Phoenix Golf Resort located in the ideal location for stunning Vietnamese mountain countryside and is surrounded by spectacular limestone karst scenery nicknamed the Halong Bay of land. The 54-hole is divided into 3 18-hole courses: Phoenix, Dragon and Championship. The Championship where 1st Masters Pro Championship was held is a links-style golf course, while the other two perform in a more dramatic scenic mountain design.
